    Flicker Lamp

This flicker lamp was created using a 3D printer and some hand wired circuitry. I modified the original print file to include a base that holds the batter and circuit board for the flickering LEDs. Then I drilled a hole between the base and globe portions using a step bit so that three LEDs could be hoisted into the globe. Each flickering LED is in series with a 330ohm resistor, and all three are power by one 9v battery. The LEDs are soldered to different lengths of solid wire to hold them aloft. I did not account for the cap that connects the 9v battery to the circuit board but luckily it fit just right with the cap on. Not a lot of engineering went into this build, mostly measuring the circuit board and battery to add the correct size base to fit everything.

    Getting to Know Word Press

I’m still getting to know word press. It took me a long time to decide to go this route. Originally I wanted to code the website for a public learning blog myself. After very many conversations with ChatGPT I landed on this option as it is the fastest way to get start posting entries. Getting something I generally liked the look of online took me about two hours overall. I found it difficult to get WordPress to give me a simple looking page and had to edit out many sections from the twenty twenty-five stock theme. I still need to flesh out the page with an about section, decide what to do with the FAQ and Author sections, and I have a list of things I want to write more detailed posts about as I get time. I have a backlog of completed projects that I would like to write retrospective posts for. That’s all for now.

    Circuit Sage Integrations is Live

Hello to anyone who reads this, if anyone ever does. I intend to use this blog as a space to learn in public. Mostly in the areas of software development and electronics engineering. Right now in Dec. of 2024, I am a licensed master electrician, I have a B.S. in Electronic Engineering Technology, and I am currently working my way through the freeCodeCamp curriculum.
